Our Mission & Vision

Mission
At Camphor Memorial United Methodist Church, our vision is to make disciples of Jesus Christ who love God, love people, and share the hope of the Gospel. Guided by Jesus’ command in Matthew 28, we are committed to helping people grow in faith, live as faithful followers of Christ, and impact our community and the world through worship, discipleship, service, and mission. Together, we seek to lead others into a life-changing relationship with Jesus and equip them to make disciples who make disciples.
Vision
At Camphor, our vision is to grow in relationship with God, one another, and the community we’re called to serve. Through worship, discipleship, and service, we seek to love boldly, serve joyfully, and lead courageously—reflecting the heart of Christ in all we do.

Our Beliefs
What We Believe
We envision a thriving, Christ-centered community rooted in Rondo and reaching beyond—where people of all generations are connected, equipped, and empowered to live out their faith. As we look ahead, we are committed to building a church that honors our legacy while moving forward with purpose, creating spaces where lives are transformed and our community is strengthened.
At Camphor Memorial United Methodist Church, we are part of the United Methodist Church, a global community of Christians rooted in Scripture, shaped by tradition, informed by reason, and experienced through God's ongoing work in our lives.

We believe in one God—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—and that God's love and grace are available to all people.
We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, who lived, died, and rose again to reconcile humanity with God and offer salvation to the world.

We believe the Bible is the primary authority for our faith and practice, revealing God's character, purposes, and saving work throughout history.
Through the Holy Spirit, God continues to transform lives, draw people into relationship with Christ, and empower believers to live faithfully.

As United United Methodists, we emphasize God's grace at work in every stage of life—preparing us, redeeming us, and shaping us into the likeness of Christ. We believe faith is lived out through both personal devotion and active love for others. Therefore, we are committed to worship, prayer, discipleship, service, justice, and sharing the good news of Jesus Christ.

We believe the Church is called to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world, welcoming all people into a community where they can grow in faith, discover their purpose, and participate in God's mission.
